Removal and Deportation

If someone is alleged to be in violation of immigration laws, they may be placed into removal (deportation) proceedings by the U.S. government.

Sometimes the individual may receive a notice to appear in federal immigration court; other times they may be detained, but may also be eligible for a bond (bail).

It is important to know that many times defenses can be raised to keep the alien from being deported.

I have represented people with convictions for offenses including felony theft, domestic violence, shoplifting, and others.

Obviously removal/deportation proceedings are a very serious matter.

Clients' rights can be advocated in immigration court, before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and at certain times in federal courts.
